Urad dhal – 125 g.
Channa gram dhal/ Bengal gram – 125 g.
Black sesame seeds – 2 tspn.
Dry red chillies – 50 g.
Curry leaves – (dry )1 handful
Garlic cloves – 15
Asafoetida powder – 1/4 tspn.
Salt – as required.
Dry roast both the dhal until it turns golden brown & then add the sesame seeds roast for 2 mins & keep it aside. Now add a little oil & add the dry red chillies & curry leaves and roast it for 2 minutes.
Allow the ingredients to cool & then grind all along with the garlic cloves, asafoetida powder and required salt. Tasty and healthy idly podi is ready.
Note: If you like you can also add drumstick leaves 1 handful along with curry leaves.
